Do we heal best by looking within, or looking without? I say, these are not mutually exclusive directions. In fact, I believe they are synergistic. Both are incredibly beneficial, and done simultaneously, are extremely powerful. Gaia Therapy is focused on facilitating regenerative experiences in nature. Regenerative means renewal and revitalization, whether it is physical, spiritual or emotional. We believe that mindfulness is a key component in achieving this renewal. You are not truly experiencing nature, if you are not present. Taking a walk in nature is as much nourishment for your body as it is for your soul. I think of my twenties when I was searching for meaning and explored Tibetan Buddhist Walking Meditation. We were meditating and moving at the same time. Surrounding yourself with nature and being present with yourself are an ideal synergistic combination for revitalization.
