It's hard to think of February without thinking of Valentine's Day. Not everyone is partnered. Not everyone is happy in their relationship. But, love is bigger than that. And, it should be celebrated more than once in a year. So, I like to use Valentine's Day as a reminder that love comes in all shapes and sizes, and from expected and unexpected people in our lives. It reminds me that there are people whose love I may have taken for granted at some point, and I make an extra effort to show my love to them. I also think about who in my life really needs a little extra love. I try to get really generous with my love. I like sitting in that heart space of love: love for myself, love for those significant in my life, love for those that are hurting right now, and I keep expanding that until I get to love that can radiate out beyond my imagination. It's a good practice to start on Valentine's Day, and to keep going through the rest of the year.
