Shinrin-Yoku

I will probably write about this a number of times, as it has become one of my favorite ways of de-stressing. Shinrin in Japanese means “forest,” and yoku means “bath.” So shinrin-yoku means taking in the forest through our senses. Forest Bathing is not exercise, or hiking, or jogging. It is simply being in nature, connecting with it through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. Dr. Qing Li is the world's leading expert in forest medicine. He's been doing and publishing research on the impact of forest bathing on health since 2004, and is convinced this is the way to heal the immune system. I'm pretty convinced it's an amazing tool for restoring balance to our imbalanced lives.
